HTATM released early in NZ I thought ? Unless I’m misremembering.. I remember listening to it early morning
oh i mean yes
i'm aus so yes it will release early nz time
i love to explore a new artist via a ms paint chart with squiggly arrows
I've seen a few times where stans of an artist forget what the artist sounds like to new ears, leading to recs that look good on paper but aren't the best
maybe im talking out of my ass doe

was talking s*** i hate that garbage, just fkn explore the discog you piece of s*** why do you need a pullout map
HTATM easily clears the rest of their catalogue. SITHOL, while good, sounds like literally anyone else making ambient, experimental noise rock/electronic music.
Their dark, grunge, glam rock > their experiemental electronic s***
People actually agreed with this?
Lmao. Yeah y’all are cooked.
this sounds like literally anyone else making ambient
sure does. Actually, sounds like budget 0pn.

i'm sorry but sithol does not sound like anybody else lmao 😭😭
especially not OPN's mid ass tf
you are making absurd comparisons @Culprit
Like the only real issue with Safe in the Hands is that it feels far more "scattered" of a project in comparison to the stuff they did after that...
Regardless of that, I suppose my worries is that this project is just gonna feel a little too streamlined and cleaned for my tastes. Raisen was able to tote the line beautifully between accessibility and experimental on Heaven, but the latest singles haven't really showcased that.
It's not like Yves changed their creative process... they're still digging up samples and references (ex. Echolalia is built upon a sample), but I just feel like things haven't felt as exciting this time around. It doesn't feel like they are the only person who can possibly make something that sounds like this.
We'll see for the album, but those are just my thoughts going into it.

scattered is fun though, have you listened to pre-sithol?
People itt saying SITHOL is ambient, and on top of the that insisting it sounds like everyone else making ambient?
exposing themselves for not knowing genres

Nah, I'm more than familiar with their stuff and it's really not an issue for me
But I just feel like there was an expectation set with the SITHOL singles and everything post that which got exceeded with Heaven and now they're like doubling down on this Glam Rock thing.
So for me it's like... if the singles are truly indicative of what this album's gonna be like, then I think that sound has run its course
