Lol I tried but S never responds so I’m not gonna keep bothering, been trying for years.

Anyways I’m just saying how I feel personally. I think it’ll be more split amongst fans than the previous WARP projects 100%. Might even be the last one on WARP.

Overall this era has felt like a bit of a reset in terms of artsmanship for Yves they need to go back to their roots cause this glam rock stuff has run its course.

As far as the music goes it’s less cohesive to me than htatm and sithol. I think echolalia is an abysmal and nearly blasphemous record from YT. it’s H&M music. the singles were the safe songs though. Heaven isn’t even close to the best song on the project just wait

What’s really weird about the recent glam rock era tracks (asymptotical world onwards) is just how much they vary in quality. Songs like Jackie and echolalia are pretty boring, but then i hear secrecy and god is a circle, which are some of their best songs. Htatm was rly consistent, so I was hoping this new lp would be at that same level of consistency, but with more electronic influence

I have a lot of friends who have only heard tracks like kerosene, romanticist, and super stars, but have barely dug into the older electronic stuff that imo were a lot more interesting (although I do love those tracks as well)

Yves is literally making Nissan car commercial music and niggas got the nerve to act like I’m just talking bullshit LMAO. It ain’t even about accessibility this is just exactly how you described it, and that’s so beneath them that it’s tongue in cheek lowbrow music for me and that’s not what I listen to bro music for. I’d be listening to Fred Again if I wanted this tame s***

Okay so imma just put it like this
There’s positively versions of the songs that you dislike or aren’t feeling too much that existed early on, but Yves now let’s too many hands in the pot that is their music. This is why quality is extremely inconsistent. Chris (his guitarist) is literally writing lyrics for a lot of the music now and pretty much arranging some tracks entirely. The songs that Yves handles mostly on their own are probably what you adore the most, but even then, tracks like Lovely Sewer (OG) ended up sounding vastly different in the final prod cuz Noah has no idea how to make anything other than bubblegum Los Angeles NPC music and Yves is obsessed with him. Yves called Raisen a “yes man” and criticized him for not being upfront about his feelings on the music… lmao. The whole time, it wasn’t even necessary because they were making the best music of his career together.

So yup now we’re getting an album filled with Nissan ad music with classic tracks sprinkled. It’s basically the EP in album extended to album format 🤷🏾‍♂️

while i've grown to like it more this is a refreshing take, glad i wasn't alone in thinking they were veering into joining two door cinema club on the lead single

And to be clear none of the music is objectively trash, it’s just I’m focused on the bigger picture as far as what caused the drop off in quality and what it spells for the future. Plus Yves been a d***head but now they’re playing into that character a lil too much.

In the end everyone gonna win though this is literally the only YT project that did nothing for me and I ain’t tryna force that opinion down anyone throat but I’ll validate anyone who was doubtful

New project soon after. They know they f***ed up with this. Sound changing dramatically. Hopefully this album is deservedly less acclaimed since Yves is obsessed with review sites and will get his feelings hurt when P4K drops that 7.8.

I’ve heard every song front to back and I’m doing nothing but relaying my opinion. Has nothing to do with entitlement lol

well if you actually heard the album that's different and I apologize

I also agree Echolalia is mid but to be fair I don't dislike the sonic direction of the project so far

AND i'm hyped about American Idol and i'm sure they'll go back to releasing ambient and whatever they want, I wouldn't jump to conclusions about fame and popularity so fast

of course, been following since the teams days and have seen what a warp budget does to a mf, not to mention how that money pit quickly gets a circle around it before people start falling in
