Idk when it comes to parents dying I don't judge how anybody else grieves. My mom dies and you pressing me about a song and calling our mutual friends to get me to clear a song it might be f*** you for life. It was so recent I doubt he in the headspace for that conversation at that time. Maybe they did have a conversation, we don't know
Again, Metro is well within his right to not have given Drake the song and to have stopped f***ing with him after that. Especially if Drake never apologized later. I'm not disputing that.
But using that and only that as the reason to do all he did and not even in 2022 but 2 years later? Yeah, no. Sorry.

IRONOh wait, btw I'm not saying UMG got this all together beforehand, and it's some grand plan in advance. I completely agree that the way it started could be as simple as them calling Kendrick up because they all had mutual dislike.
I do think during the process the label got involved though and there's more to all of their individual relationships that we just don't know, that's all.

Explain
Kendrick got blocked by the label in 2024 before the lawsuit happened because of conflict of interest with def jam not wanting to okay it. So this means the whole lucien sending them after Drake thing would make no sense
