if I didn’t use that time, then Wayne was carrying the genre next to Ye and even T-Pain had a major run and even helped shift the sound of genre that Ye used on a feature with a southern artist as he came out of depression to drop 808s a sound that Drake and many other artists now heavily utilizes and he from Tallahassee Florida

and if you talking about Metro, 808 mafia and them, they helped carry hiphop and introduce a new sound that mixed that old school trap sound Gucci was on, with the futuristic s*** Kanye/Wayne-T-Pain were on, with the already futuristic sound that was happening in ATL with a new trap sound cause of Lex and they all moved as new ATL in the mid 2010s where even Travis was able to go under the mentoriship of a southern legend who was the only one willing to put money behind him and thrive heavily from the south supporting him first (and we see where Travis is now with the sound he developed in…ATL) and denying that and it’s impact cause some other niggas happened to not drop is just being ignorant but maybe it was different where you from lmao
