Technically, hypothetically one could say in the situation where we have simultaneously incredible amounts of food waste, and also hunger, that it can actually be hypothetically extremely positive to shoplift food so that there is less waste before the food expires.
I think food suppliers should consider this and allow people to take food especially if it expires soon and its an item that often gets thrown out due to expiration.
