    So whats the story behind the 3 kendrick albums? You had to like him at some point if you wanted to like those 3 but they ended up not clicking

  • I wouldnt say theres anything I want to like I dont but theres some I feel like I should like more like its right up my alley but never clicked. all those "classic" modest mouse albums sound like something I should love but I just dont. im sure part of it is I just havent listened enough and for a band with so many albums out when I became aware it just seemed like a lot to get through.

  • There are so many good albums out there that I never feel the need to force myself to enjoy or "click" with an album that I don't care for. I just don't listen to it.

    Especially when I have also heard much better albums from an artist before.

    DAMN.

    I even prefer Mr. Morale over it. I still feel its a good album but I dont see it as a flawless masterpiece like others do and I think TPAB was much more deserving of that Pulitzer.

    Also, CLB. There's joints on it but, as a whole album, I still find it to be a bit of a drag and a snoozefest. I find Her Loss and Iceman much more entertaining by contrast. Niggas here used to argue with me about CLB.

    All the praise and awards that DAMN received were a make-up for TPAB.

    It worked with that at least because DAMN was much more easier to grasp and digest off the first few listens than something like TPAB.
