Facts. Yorgos grew on me so much

i can’t stand the way he directs his actors

there is intent in their stiffness and it worked in the first half of the lobster for me

by the second half from what i remember, i was just bothered by how lifeless everyone felt.

then the one with the spaghetti kid, weird greek allegory one where the main nigga is a doctor

that one really got me tight. i just couldn’t stand the acting at all, despite loving the cast. s*** just did not resonate with me at all, and by the time the drama is really rolling, i was so indifferent towards all the characters i just couldn’t do it

i don’t feel like it’s something that will click for me, bc there’s other directors who push for this weird uncanny style of acting from their cast and i enjoy it, but this guy really f***ing bores me to death

i think that’s what pisses me off about yorgos is bc the things i hate most about his work are the things i normally love in film, i just have never been captivated by his stuff and it’s even more dissapointing when the premise is so f***ing good
