He wrote the reference for Mob Ties in like January 2018

    who are you

    who are you

Lol just a guy who used to work in the field. Leave it at that.

Let me just say though, that stuff like this is pretty common and it doesn't mean what people think.

People submit ideas for albums all the time. 24/7. Vory himself collaborates with other writers.

This is part of the internet that's annoying. Niggas who have never wrote a song, shopped a record, etc. talking about 'Drake don't write!" and that is not what these reference records are about at all.

Niggas pass songs / demos / ideas to Future, Kendrick, Cole, etc. all the f***ing time.

No one who's ever created with Drake will tell you that he can't / don't write. It truly is a very dumb point of contention

I never said he uses reference tracks. I have no idea if he or Cole used them or not.

I'm simply saying writers submit records to them for potential use all the time. That's the nature of the business. That's all I was getting at.

“If the artist decides to give them points” so these people can just straight up get scammed if the artists don’t play nice

Yes, it's why Ye / Drake always been real for crediting people. That simple credit can change your life and help get your own music career off the ground. Everyone wants to believe in Santa Claus though.

Yes artists producers labels all these people are f***ing a******s when it comes to giving out points, sharing publishing etc

It’s why Drake had to pay QM under the table for his work on If You’re reading this for example.

Yeah I heard many times stories about songs being written by The Dream being passed around to Usher, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, Ariana, etc.

Just didn't think we got to that point in Hip-Hop too. (other than Unforgettable which was a known song that was passed around including to Drake before French Montana took it)

Nah it definitely happens in Hip-Hop. Seen / heard about it first hand with Cole/Drake/Sean/Kanye/Randomly Wiz Khalifa

Not saying any of these acts have used references or anything like that, just saying I've seen records be submitted and given to them.

Obv with your Dream's, and Neyo's, that goes without saying.

But like, I guess that's my point with Drake. He doesn't do it as often anymore, but there was a time where Kanye, Alicia Keys, Jay Z, Rita Ora, Jamie Foxx, James Fauntleroy, Chris Brown, Future, Lil F***ing Wayne, all commissioned him to WRITE for them and with them so for people to question his pen of all people is the most disingenuous s*** ever.

I'm glazing fasho but everything I said was facts. Nigga basically broke into this s*** because his pen was so good.

  • Like here is Drake cooking up WITH Fauntleroy writing with him, one of the best writers ever.

But let the internet tell it, if a reference from this session leaked niggas would be like "Fauntleroy is drake's ghostwriter!!"
