Can't compare 2017 to 2021 in terms of consumption. Well over half of DAMN's sales were pure.

DONDA on the other hand did only 37k pure. If he dropped on a Friday and after the second LP (which I don't really think is as big a factor as others say considering the third listening party had the most viewers of the three) he could've MAYBE cleared 400k but no more than that.

you really think 2.5 extra days of tracking wouldve only given it like 70k extra. I think it would have been more like 475k+. Plus few more digital sales cause I remember they reset the digital preorder for the album a few days prior to release.

like a 450k vs 600k type of situation which is very respectable given that drake is the #s king

people say 'oh donda had a lot of songs' but so did CLB + past a certain point more songs doesnt necessarily mean people are listening for a longer total amount

And yeah I do. Obviously most streams come from the first couple days, and while dropping on a Sunday got rid of Friday/Saturday, it's not as if his Sunday numbers were typical Sunday numbers, they were typical first day numbers, though likely hurt a bit by the fact it dropped mid-morning. But I think that's negated by the fact that DONDA's second day streams didn't drop as much as CLB's.

I'm not trying to turn into a spreadsheet poster or anything, but Ye's first two streaming days were incredibly strong, then it started falling a bit. When people talk about the two and a half days that Ye missed, most of those streams should be tacked onto the end of the week, not the beginning.
