NWTS is the greatest rap album of all time imo but Yeezus is also in my top 10 (by far most replayable kanye album)

  • May 2, 2022

Both are probably like an 8/10 to me

Yeezus has aged horribly imo, wouldn’t personally put it as a classic either

Honestly my opinion changes every week, its just an album I find myself going back to for a full listen more than his others.

It’d be between CD and Yeezus

I definitely have a weird kanye ranking

    eye contact

Kanye 100% made trav’s career in collaboration with TI

it just felt extreme to me to say that, but tbh even looking back at that old complex interview he basically says it himself

yeah i dont think its a classic, more like a cult classic

but it definitely aged really well. actually it probably aged the best out of his entire discography

  • The Darkest Angel

I think he means commercially it was a dud thats a fact but it's still his best album

Oh haha thought he meant it was a bad album

But yea s***s a flop fs

I’d def say that the two of them were the biggest factors in trav’s career outside of himself

They provided the connections, the clout, the funding, the aesthetics, the shabang.

Trav just returned the investment both financially and artistically

    Thug would be #3

I listened to both a lot at the time. I can't even listen to either one anymore because I played them out so bad. But I'd have to go with Yeezus, way more fun way more impactful. NWTS is a classic though so I can't take anything away from it.

yeezus is not as edgy as y'all making it out to be. lol. if this was death grips I understand. never know why ppl continue to make I out like Yeezus is some try hard type s***

    how isnt it edgy??

it mixes hip hop, industrial, reggae, house and electronic in a way never heard before.

Kanye followed up his most acclaimed album and return to the publics grace with his most polarizing work yet, evident by the mixed reaction from fans, and with no song that is clearly meant for radio. Kanye knew damn well this would not do numbers at all and did it simply for the art.

    not to mention the artwork

I remember some people who were trashing it, saying Death Grips has already done this sound better. Yeah, well I'd rather listen to Yeezus

I love Yeezus I think it’s Ye last complete classic. But edgy seems like something that’s try hard and to appease pretentious ppl
