I hated it at first and though it was his biggest jump down lyrically. Some of it grew on me but a lot of it still sucks to me. The pretentious of some of the fans didn't help either

It always interested me how people said this since Yeezus is my favorite Ye album lyrically speaking

I mean it's subjective so you're not wrong if it spoke to you, but for me I grew up on Kanye literally since college dropout I f***ed with him. After all the s*** from back then with the heavy soul inspired stuff to change that drastically wasn't appealing to me. I always thought his old s*** was better lyrically and peaked right around MBDTF when he had some insane ghostwriters.
Even back on s*** he was doing with common and other soul style conscious artists I thought he was so good back then. Yeezus to me was way too basic, more rambling and less direct and maybe that's what he was going for but I honestly thought that whole minimalist s*** was just an excuse for weak bars.

Its nearly a 10/10. Hasn’t influenced much cause no one is capable of pulling off what Kanye did with it.

Probably the best album since its release, only Blonde and maybe KissLand can compete.
