I’m not mad at this new project, but I’m starting to wish I never got introduced to Yeat from all the way back from Up2Me era cause for some reason it’s severely limiting my ability to appreciate his new s*** even though I know it’s not bad and I’m trying to be open minded as much as I can. I hold that album and era in such high regard, its the best project of the last 5 years for me personally

I do see he’s trying to incorporate his older sound with his new s*** though and I respect that

That being said Loose Leaf & Oh I Did are the ones that’s sticking with me so far

i‘ve been thinking about this for a while and unfortunately i have to agree. i don‘t know what it is with current yeat, but his new music isn‘t scratching the itch for me, no matter how good it is.

it‘s crazy cause i‘ve never felt this way with an artist before. at least not as bad as i do with yeat. i can hear and appreciate his evolution, but it‘s simply not hitting like that for me.

his run in 21-22 was just so generational that it‘ll never be recreated by anyone. and it‘s unfair to hold him to that standard. he‘s doing what he wants now and i‘ll gladly listen to it. but i have a hard time really letting go of that old sound and enjoying the new music, i guess.

i‘ve officially reached unc/gatekeeper status and it sucks. i literally feel like that squidward meme where he‘s watching everyone outside have fun while he‘s miserable at home lmao

And his voice inflections are on point as well, everything seems so well thought out, but natural at the same time

    What a f***ing artist lmao

You nailed it, this is exactly what I mean lol it kinda sucks, but it is what it is that was a special era, it’s probably damn near impossible to live up to it.. that21-22 music was laced with crack, something wasn’t normal about it

The conflict is that the new music isn’t bad by any means, but that just speaks volumes to how amazing it was before

I think the old music is still better than his new s*** but i can appreciate the new s*** an tbh that whole era of music in 2021-2023 has evolved into the che osamason ken carson sphere which i think scratches the itch better than yeat probably could even if he tried

  • Aug 5, 2025

I wish yeat would work with the new guys but theres so much random beef an s***. Artists used to put on the new generation, like thug the only one to actually do that
