Listening to this made me realise Carti is actually a really good writer. They both lack substance generally (which is not a problem for me at all if it's enjoyable overall) but Carti just got way cooler and vivid lyrics. No verse on here matches something like HBA or Sky in setting the scene. The beats here are pretty good (even though I'm not a fan of this 'futuristic' sounding music in general, like the music that one producer Keyon Christ that KTT d***rode a lot makes) but Yeat just does not do any justice to them anyways.

I’ve hated every single Yeat song ever made. Then I heard this. This might be an album of the year contender for me.

What I love about Yeat is he isn’t afraid to experiment and push the sounds. Carti does it too.
