So is this an album and it’s dropping today?

No we dk when the album is dropping yet, this just the single from it
No one truly knows, he dropped nextel as well. People were saying it has to do with yeat switching up but people say anything fr
ngl this the first time i heard of nextel who tf is that nigga
Bro did y’all hear this man’s last album and y’all wanna say generic is so laughable its insane
they slept on songs like Rav3 P4rty
but yeah nothing about Afterlyfe was really generic lol, I think his most generic album is probably 2Alive but thats about it
ngl this the first time i heard of nextel who tf is that nigga
yeats friend who was his manager and helped him blow up, idk much more
y'all gotta stop mentioning 2 Alivë in these convos of when Yeat's quality start to decline
that s*** is really good still and is mostly from the Up 2 Me sessions

must be the leftovers because Up 2 Me is goated and 2 Alive is average (not Geek Pack thats heat)

i see
Know what, i listened to afterlyfe again and it really isn't as generic as i thought it was. I gotta give him some grace tbh
What I really want yeat to do is start using more unknown and experimental producers like he used to. Experimental beats and the way he used his voice like an instrument to compliment them
Like he still does this, i fr need to reserve judgement idk i was trippin yesterday
beat hard, yeat ight
loved the slight thugger inflections he had on his voice at one point

He got 3 songs with a producer he found on YouTube named "730hahah"

I always did get the sense that Yeat was the type of mf that just uses people and throws them away when it's convenient for him. Seems to be consistent among a lot of big artists though, once they come up, they ditch the people that don't benefit em anymore
this happens with literally all of these guys lol they stop rapping hungry once they are on
look at lone lol
not really I think the novelty of these new aesthetics / tweaks on the rage esque sounds just wear off fast and people express it as the artist falling off
they rap about the same s*** every song lol
not like it’s a drake kanye or Wayne situation where they used to lyrically go crazy or anything lol
I noticed this s*** too. It's weird because it's happening to all these new underground rappers. Yeat, destroy lonely, and Ken Carson. It feels like they hit a wall and get stuck. They're not having that huge blow up moment that the past soundcloud wave had. XXXtentacion, Juice Wrld, Lil Uzi, Carti, etc. all had a moment where they just became superstars overnight. Even the weaker ones like Lil pump, Lil xan, 6ix9ine, etc. had a moment where they hit the mainstream and were doing big numbers. Something just isn't connecting with these new guys the way that it was for the previous generation
probably because these guys are honestly just mid to begin with and probably wouldn’t have existed prior to 2013-2016 when you still kinda had to really rap. there’s no actual foundation to the music other than lifestyle and catchiness lol + the novelty of hearing a new take on the current “thing”. it’s like candy that will never get you full although I like it too
dont get me wrong bnyx got the sauce but sometimes he just copies and paste
he shines the best when he in his pocket fr no kizzy
song example: Myself

i agree on that first part. i don’t think yeat has fallen off, but the wave he rode has
