Dude stans a chubby bootleg 50 Cent whose hype barely lasted 3 months in 2014
I feel like classic R&B lovers will put a voice over songs, which is fine and I understand. Channel Orange is well executed contemporary R&B. Simply put, Tiller, CB, and ESPECIALLY Jacquees are not good at crafting songs at all. When they get a hit it’s always off the strength of the vocal performance or how well done the beat is. There’s little actual songwriting, and when they do venture into these territories like Tiller on his last album, a lot of the time the s*** is boring, and his few hits are mostly the beats (Don’t, Rambo, 502 Come Up) Frank presents a unique and well executed approach, whether you like the more abstract work he’s made in recent years or not, there’s just no denying his ability to craft a song and project
Lemme ask you this. How you feel about The Weeknd?
voice>> songwriting>>>production
Frank genuinely only excels at 1/3 so you tell me
Ever since he tried to normalise islamophobia I can’t stand him
Wait what?
mf saying bruno mars is better, i’m out
Dude went from Fedora in the park music to Las Vegas karaoke , I don’t see the appeal
Wait what?
“He said allahu Akbar I said don’t curse me.... it’s a bad religion” the bad religion he’s talking about is Islam

I don't think that was what he meant
you're trolling right
Bruh how can u be more blatant? He said Allahu Akbar I said don’t curse me, how is that not islamaphobic?

Well
1. The bad religion he's talking about isn't Islam, it's unrequited love. How you could think he's talking about anything else is beyond me.
2. There are many ways to interpret it, the way I always did was him just being ignorant to the meaning of, "Allahu akbar" (which the overwhelming majority of Americans are, source: American). But that doesn't make him Islamophobic. I think the driver also realizes the disconnect because in the next line the driver calls him "bo bo" which means fool.
Another way it could be looked at is that Frank DOES know the meaning but he sees any mention of God or God's love as a curse considering he's opening up about a same s***relationship, which God doesn't approve of.
