in my personal experience, i see a lot of people say they just don’t like purple hearts as a song
which is insane to me
summer walker verse is iffy to me but purple hearts GOES. Die hard, purple hearts, rich spirit, those songs keep a bit of the lightness in it.
what really confuses me is the worldwide steppers hate. that song is incredible. maybe my fav on it
100%. only w****s hate on purple hearts
Insane this is what the OG version sounded like

One of the handful of rap albums from this decade so far that really hits different. It might not be your favorite Kendrick album, it isn't mine, but it is a singular work of art that only could have been made by him. No one else was doing this at the time and nobody truly can, hard as they try, because it comes from such a personal place.

It’s def Kendrick’s most important album to his personal story. Not flawless, but the best stuff on it is some of his best work
United In Grief, Worldwide Steppers, Father Time, Count Me Out, Savior and Mother I Sober

Count Me Out is the quintessential “guys it’s ok to cry to this one” song
Like every word in that song was meant for men and men only. This prolly why a looot of rappers love that song.
