2ILLOut of all his albums, it’s the one I revisit the least
Don’t enjoy it as much as I did when it first dropped. The sonic palette was kinda boring to me. Some good production on here but the beats didn’t really stand out me, outside of United In Grief. Rich Spirit is a nice addition to his catalog too. Think it’s a precursor to the energy of GNX
I will say, the structure stands out to me more than it did on the release date. It’s quite unique imo especially if we’re comparing it to big time mainstream albums. Was pleased with how it was put together. I love that he’s able to connect all the subject matter he explores through an overarching theme. I always appreciate the effort.
It’s an ambitious project. Still think it’ll be looked at as a highlight from this decade. Don’t think any rapper that would’ve attempted something similar would be as successful

I needed a week to call it bc the first listen was so jarringly different than what I expected
I think a lot of people who dislike it never got past that stage and never let it marinate
Some people just like that, go with their initial reaction and judge accordingly

Album still gets spins from me. Therapy Rap really helps man.
Made a playlist from that album and other Kendrick songs when I need to reflect
(euphoria is on there just cause it's hard and it evaluates another person lol)
