I think I covered that though: compromise and balance should definitely be at the forefront of these things and zigging and zagging your kid between two extremes depending on household definitely isn't a good thing. But I also think that creates a potential parental imbalance if one can essentially veto any activity if they shout loud enough about it. To me that isn't mutually respectful or considerate either.
