I didn't know you had a KTT2 account Mr. Fantano sir

That post is more Alphonse Pierre than Fantano

Fantano would’ve spent half the post talking about Ye Nazi and definitely wouldn’t have complimented the Jewish b**** line

That's totally valid! Everyone has their own tastes and opinions when it comes to music. It's okay to feel like Kanye's recent work isn't hitting the mark for you. Music is subjective, and what resonates with one person might not resonate with another. If you're not feeling the latest album, there's plenty of other music out there to explore that might better suit your preferences!
It's natural for artistic preferences to evolve over time, and Kanye West's music is no exception. While some fans may have connected deeply with his earlier work, others might find that his newer material doesn't resonate with them in the same way. Music is a deeply personal experience, shaped by individual tastes, emotions, and life experiences. What one person perceives as a masterpiece, another may view as a misstep. Kanye's discography is rich and diverse, spanning multiple genres and styles, so it's understandable that not every album will be universally loved.

Moreover, the concept of an artist "falling off" is subjective and often tied to personal expectations. As fans, we may have certain hopes and desires for an artist's trajectory, but ultimately, artists grow and change just like anyone else. Kanye's journey as a musician has been marked by experimentation and boundary-pushing, which inevitably means that not every project will be met with unanimous acclaim. However, it's precisely this willingness to take risks and defy expectations that has made Kanye a compelling figure in the music industry.

Lastly, it's worth remembering that constructive criticism can be a valuable part of the dialogue surrounding art. Expressing disappointment or dissatisfaction with an album doesn't diminish one's appreciation for the artist's body of work as a whole. Rather, it reflects a desire for authenticity and connection in the music we consume. As fans, we're entitled to our opinions and should feel comfortable expressing them, even if they diverge from the mainstream consensus. After all, music is about more than just critical acclaim—it's about the personal connections we forge with the sounds and stories that resonate with us. And hey, whether you're tapping along with your fingers or your toes, as long as the music moves you, that's what truly matters.

    lyrically and thematically it’s uneventful

It’s a pretty good listen just for sonics and whatever but Ye used to offer so much more than that, this kind of album I would enjoy from Ty$ on his own but Ye used to make songs about stuff

his biggest fans at this point don’t wanna hear All Falls Down or Can’t Tell Me Nothing or New Slaves or Real Friends

nor does Kanye display any kind of capacity to make those kind of songs anymore

Kanye saying "Trav is Scott" to the heads of Adidas in that leaked meeting is a more memorable quotable than any line on this album outside of the jewish b**** line.

There's no introspective anchor to this album that keeps it interesting amidst all of its twists and turns. It's the "W Rizz" of Kanye albums, and it will renew his relevancy with gen z/gen alpha for the next 2-4 years, but not much else.

It's easy to hear his verse on Burn and call this album his best since Yeezus or whatever, but at least Pablo and DONDA had a shallow allure to them that was convincing if you squinted hard enough

We will never get an album full of tracks like Burn unfortunately.

Donda had Pure Souls, 24, Jesus Lord, and some other ones in a similar vein I didn’t really like but others did

So he has some capacity (I only think Pure Souls did it perfectly)

But this might just be all we can get from him now

He’s never made an album full of them, he keeps it interesting and variable but like he said those albums had an anchor of meaning, this didn’t have one

I don't agree with this. It's an album about Ye surrounding himself with Vultures while at his lowest point when all he really wants is a replacement for Kim, intro tracks state his goals clearly and ending tracks make it apparent that he feels he's found a path forward. Stuff like Carnival and Fuk Sumn serve the same purpose here as songs like Freestyle 4 on TLOP

But this one you don’t have to squint at

The album opens and closes emotional enough, it has themes and does address his struggles and stuff. Idk what adidas s*** you talking about but s***s still better than those last few frisbees

I genuinely don’t know what these dudes are talking about but I want to hear your perspective on this

Do you think MBDTF had an “introspective anchor”?
