dont think much for #PABLO nowadays but this might be the best Ye leak
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMiXokY8hKAHad no idea this version of waves leaked
TLOP has a stronger theme than Yeezus does. Itâs just that the sound profile is all over the place, and that would still be the case if it was cut down.
Agree tbh.
i donât understand all these âqualificationsâ when it comes discussing TLOPâs genius. it is a masterwork and one of the best albums ever made

TLOP is the pinnacle of what Ye was trying to achieve with his art for his entire career. It's no surprise that outside of Donda (which is very similar to TLOP in a lot of ways) most of his albums since have been short and not had much in the way of "journeys"

Not true.
TLOP marked a dramatic shift for Ye's perception. Instead of being behind closed doors slowly curating, he aired his feelings (and in turn, music) out in public. I still remember when Ye was on a twitter-fit and talking how he was changing the album name to SWISH just because he wanted to.
What I'm trying to say is that TLOP is idiosyncratic to the mental state that he was in, which fills in a lot of loose ends. That's part of the appeal
It's bittersweet to me because the cynic inside me is a little tired at this rate.
Ye (2018) was underwhelming cause it felt like TLOP-lite. Jesus is King is sorta like that too, Yandhi, God's Country, Donda: With Child you know all those 'almost finished' products that either get reworked or entirely binned.
Donda has some great music on there but it's still messy. Every project after TLOP lacks a certain preciseness to it. 808s, Late Reg, College Dropout, Yeezus etc. all very precise in what they're trying to be and how they were delivered. Can't say that about post-TLOP

Why because I like an album? Don't you have an album you hold in that high of regard?
TLOP is bloated
Makes me bloated cause s*** fills me up đđ
16 songs 1 hour is not that long for an album if you really canât stomach that you need to go to the nearest quack doctor and get some adderall
we are getting a classic, I fear

What album
I donât get why itâs considered a reach to view everything after Frankâs Track as bonus considering Ye says it himself
Yea I remember that era with three back to back versions of tlop in just one month lol
The reason TLOP is bloated isnât the length
It just feels like thereâs a lot of filler with all these stupid interludes and half songs
The 4 track run of Low Lights, Highlights, Freestyle 4, and I Love Kanye is such a wasteland of interludes, it really feels like a hole in the middle of the album. The pieces arenât that bad, but getting all these interludes in this short space is such bad sequencing.
When half the standard album is interludes it makes me wish he went with an earlier tracklist model with 10 actual songs
I had a dream Ye and Ty released a double single
The first song was called âVibeâ I canât remember much from this one but it was a sample based dance song
And the second song was âNew Bodyâwhich was now 5 minutes long and appeared to have a second version that removed Kanyeâs verse
New Body had Nicki on it
Its so f***ing over
