Schizo take but I feel like Ye made this album for Kim to show he’s a changed lord-loving family man. And his relationship failed anyway despite all the Sunday Services and s*** so he went completely off the rails instead.

This alone cemented Donda as a classic to me
i remember being there irl and sitting in a dark ass stadium waiting for 3 hours.
then the lights went COMPLETELY dark and this came on. Deadass get chills thinking about it

im also biased bc i lost my aunt who was like a second mom to cancer, got dumped after a 6 year long relationship the same summer Donda released so the songs hit like crack. I also started taking my health and fitness seriously around the same time. Off the Grid at the start of my gym journey

I will say, for as much as I love Donda, it would have been top 3 for me if he kept the original direction instead of just doing organs the whole album
