I have a lot to say about this and will probably get hate but he’s very very overrated as a beat maker himself
No doubt he produced classics and a lot of dope beats in the 2000s but so did Just Blaze, Bink, Al, Pharrell etc. and we’re not gonna pretend Ye’s production was levels above any of them
The problem is most of them kept working on becoming better beat makers themselves while Ye stopped and imo it really shows when he did the Wyoming albums. Still a good beat maker but he would get washed by a lot of his contemporaries of the 2000s now
