No but 3000 said it best "you're only funky as your last cut" and that any artist in any genre of music will be judged by their output in what they put out. Eminem and Lil Wayne are undoubtedly legends and no one's taking that away from them. I can still say that their latest outpouring of discography has been the equivalent of doo doo butter. If they felt proud in their work that's great. I'm sure Hov felt proud in Magna Carta when it came out too. Majority of Hov's fanbase didn't.

And we got 4:44 out of that.

THAT'S what happens when you have an artist that isn't afraid of critique and isn't afraid to improve and build upon what people know of what they can do.

I remember saying when DONDA dropped that I didn’t want him to come back w music for another five years and to just live a life that would give him the inspiration for something truly great
