Yāall need to actually list reasons why you think the album is actually bad cause yāall just sound like bitter pitchfork writers that rate music based on the person themself
In context losing his mother made him question too much about his original trajectory imo
He could have rode off into the sunset as the greatest mainstream backpacker of all time lol
But life writes itās own script
I'm mostly just joking and joining the chorus of doom posting. One of my favorite hobbies. Going beyond the music itself and trying to see some of yourself in these artists is always a fool's errand, bar very rare instances. Only a deeply lost man would try to educe some eternal wisdom from Kanye West.
But it's remarkable how much he's fallen from grace, especially considering how genuine and thoughtful the artistry could be in his earlier years.
Itās not like heās doing some daring s***. Him making this generic s***club mid life crisis music with awful lyrics isnāt exactly forging a brave new path in music lol kind of feels like heās pandering
Are you talking about just the vultures album or in general? Because I can name 20 songs that donāt fit that formula from JIK era to now

Vultures
forever rolling is almost 3 years old and he butchered it by taking the drums off

Shocker

Out of breath Kanye vocals that you can tell he not writing
And itās aggravating because at this point heās just making generic trap with dark pads like itās been for the past 6-7 years and that somehow is āmore advanced or futuristicā than his 03-07 stuff.
At this point doing a new album with no super obvious trap beats closer to picking up where he left off before 808s would be more innovative
That lil baby ty$ song forever rollin just sounds like a lil baby song. Same for some of the āyoungerā records on Donda lol
This is what I'm trying to say. It's been a looong time since Kanye was this "innovative genius creative" that people somehow still think he is.
These are just DJ Khaled type albums, people won't accept it.
Am i tripping or was this nigga wearing a black kkk hood lol

Early ye was poetic
It usually is but at this point as "a true artist", do you consider his new music anyhow innovative?
Yes
JAIL
Come to Life
Get Lost
God Is
Couple examples of some very innovative beautiful music
I like it better when we have a bleached a****** line and then a FML
Ye is supposed to be a war between ego and introspection
Doesnāt seem like thereās much balance this time
