Here’s my thing when I see Kanye posting a lot on Twitter or IG. Is it how I’d do it? Hahaha no. But was anyone in media really giving Kanye a fair shake in the divorce when he was silent for the better part of a year? Not really. Was he more or less “crazy” during that time? Instead, the media honed in on him having a bunch of listening parties, staying in Atlanta stadium for weeks, and tweaking his album, and saying hey this guy is “crazy” when in actuality I think he’s eccentric. Did people talk about what he said on Drink Champs or his recent interview with Jason Lee where he was pretty calm? So with him, and I’m not saying it’s like this perfect great thing he’s doing on IG, sometimes I feel like for him to have a voice in media coverage, he wedges in his perspective with theatrics. Like black future month speech was not “crazy.” Did anyone really report on it? Not really. But if he inserted something about “how the democrats yada yada” it would’ve blew up. So in a lot of ways, he’s in a lose lose position with the media.

I don’t think he’s doing promo for it selling out exactly…but when he has big things coming up he 100% wants to be in the news and make himself unavoidable in media

Regardless of what he posted today and how people reacted, he’s basically telling us his takeaway was that he was happy he was trending top 2
