FriesEvery bipolar person I know, me included, has recognised what Ye's doing atm as being a typical manic/hypomanic episode, but when people try to explain it here it gets met with 'You're being dismissive, you're using mental illness against him, he's just fired up about what he believes in rn', I think I'm just gonna stop participating in this aspect of the discussion
it's because people explain it and then purport that it is and can only be the single explanation for his actions and behaviors and thoughts. as if no other explanation is possible other than "he's doing this because he's in a manic state". it is dismissive because it's a claim that implies he would never do these kinda things if he were just in a more regular state -- as if whatever he feels and thinks can only be attributed to mania instead of genuinely what he may feel or think

Mania isnt a binary attribute it’s a spectrum. Also the SC campaign speech wasnt “true mania” it was moreso emotion imo.
