might be the first Ye album with no antics or spectacle before release since like ever.No press or anything. Almost seems like a contractual obligation

Honestly refreshing…idk if the album will be fleshed out more compared to what we’ve already heard (I think it’s gonna be similar) but I am glad there’s no chaos for a change haha.

Theres still a couple of days though.

yea I mean the spectacle that Ye usually creates before an album. Whether it be listening events or controversy. We havent seen any of that this time around.
He’s unusually quiet this time around. im excited and interested in the album though.

Yea I was thinking the same thing, just so used to him doing it since forever. All the way back to Late Registration, he knows how to make albums feel like events or cultural moments

It kinda matches the album in a weird way…from what we heard. it’s a very sort of intimate lowkey sounding album compared to what he usually presents which has a lot of grandeur and spectacle.

yea kinda like 808’s. that was somewhat of a quiet release post Donda’s passing. that might be the knly album where we saw a mellow’d Ye with no antics surrounding the project

it could be that or maybe this s*** is just some contractual obligation and they half assing it

He was mad vocal, slightly political with the blood diamonds thing, he was more of a social commentator during that time. The George Bush thing pushed him over the edge of being provocative. He had a few moments at award shows where you see early moments of him stealing the show. He was very vocal

only the 808’s album is where we see him kinda reserved then he crashed out at the Taylor Swift thing and we get his shift into Dark Twisted Fantasy
