This made me think about a lot of Donda in a different light, too - there are a handful of tracks on there, especially early on, which really could have just been one Ye verse and perhaps a single guest, and they'd actively be much better to me.

Like, some of them just drag on and on, and it feels like repeat listens of the record make it lose its appeal - it was dope for the first day or two, but it didn't have as much staying power as a whole. I still go back to a bunch of individual tracks, but the overall album feels almost like a showcase for features at times.

808s (minus Pinocchio Story), Yeezus and now Bully all exist in this 40-45 minute sweet spot and all have Ye front and centre with only a handful of smaller feats, so they feel like the most front-to-back playable projects of his to me.

Which isn't to say I rank Bully higher than TCD, Dark Fantasy etc overall of course, don't get me wrong, it doesn't touch that level of artistry or importance, BUT it is a great body of work in its own right that I believe will have very nice staying power within his catalogue.
