    Theres no rules to music or art in general, there are many songs with one verse, sometimes just repeated, its not as conventional in hip hop but it is what it is,

    Hip hop has only just started the less is more approach rather than saying too much because a hip hop track is “supposed” to have 3 verses

    i agree with all you said, and I think songs like Feel the Love, 4th Dimension, or FSMH while short, they still feel like theyre making use of the time they have.

    But then theres certain songs like Punch Drunk or Bully where the instrumental is so good or you feel the momentum is going strong and could keep going, but then they end. Those are some where i think they could benefit from another verse, chorus or an outro thats different from the rest of the song

    that said i do prefer a song that leaves you wanting more versus one that ends up making you wanna skip it
