Ye’s albums since MBDTF have always had a certain rawness to them

Ye is one of the greatest at expressing the kind of sadness that says "I f***ed up, but I'm not past redeemability, and also it's not entirely my fault." It's a mix of emotions that feels super relatable, especially knowing how complex he is. Jail is one of my favorite examples. That balance of owning your mistakes while still keeping some dignity like "I'm an idiot, but f*** the universe too, I'm good and standing my ground" which feels really authentic
