i honestly think recording vocals is just his least favorite part of the creative process. let's not forget how many songs on donda have dem jointz punch-ins because he just straight up did not want to rerecord those verses. i'm sure the only reason he didn't use AI sooner is because the technology wasn't there.
that said though, he seems to value fan opinions a lot more these days, so i think he'll try to rely on it less moving forward.
Man you reminded me how much those Dem Jointz punch ins hold back some of those songs… the Jail vocals just sound off. Keep My Spirit Alive is a mess with or without them
