It's music it's not as simple as some office job where you can hit the targets by simply just doing the work same way you've been doing it for years.
If you treat it like a job, you get stuff like Vultures 2 and Donda 2 which is 'finished' and put out just for the sake of putting it out.
Those albums are not finished in respectable meaning of that word. More like technically finished.
And Ye's process since forever or since that year when it became about battling Adele is just a sweatshop of writers and producers sending him beats and lyrics. For them it is a job.
Maybe for Ye it is passion, but my point is that he lacking it for this project.
And maybe he is lacking it period. Because of that AI vocal usage, I mean how less invested you want to be in your craft.

That is why I put finished in quotation marks. They were not finished, nor was he interested in them and just put them out due to the fan pressure. He was barely involved in the last phases of those albums right before release too. Didn't even bother promoting the fact that they released. I would much rather if they had remained unreleased.
Delaying Bully is way better than hitting some arbitrary deadline and releasing it under fan pressure then updating it constantly to meet the fan expectations after they (rightly) pan it.
And tbh I don't even mind if it gets scrapped if his heart is not in it, he should just focus on In A Perfect World or whatever he's currently interested in. I'm content with what we got off Bully.
If he's actually working on it then I don't mind the delays, he should take as long as it takes to bring his ideas to fruition. If it's gonna get delegated to some peon ass producer like Digital Nas to fix it up, then I'd rather it stay unreleased.
And the sweatshop thing is super simplification of the process. People act like he's like a pop artist who just get sent demos being shopped around in the industry, if it was that easy there would be no problem in churning out music easily. It's a collaborative process and people who've worked with him have always said that he is super involved in it.
I don't think it'll get shelved he'll just drop it as is like he did for Donda 2 on streaming, some time down the line.
So shelved basically
Donda 2 only came out on DSP because Digital Nas pretty much wanted to get paid for it

Nah that is just fanfic by redditors, there's no way Ye is paying anyone for Donda 2 lmao
Ye didn't pay DN completely for Donda 1 and that was a major studio album under a label, he's not getting a dime out of that.
I'm pretty sure he just did it cause fans kept begging for it. He talked about doing it for other albums on those livestreams when fans commented about them, though I don't think that will happen cause he was pissed that Donda 2 flopped.
