I can feel that opinion. the songs do leave a lot to be desired like he coulda added another verse or section on each song you named. maybe tried different topics around what he was going for. he was tryna be serious but couldn’t escape being unserious at the same time…a fault I’m continuing to notice he keeps falling into…Donda literally had it LP1…the additions to LP2 just dragged the project but it was still solid…then he just kept redoing it like he has every project since TLOP. I honestly think it’s comes from him creating s*** like Never See Me Again and getting these long drawn out songs like Bound 1 and something like finally finishing No More Parties in LA that have led him to keep tryna recapture those moments and adding on to what doesn’t need to be added on until the point you so far gone from the original focus of the project that was being streamed live.

I’ll just never forget that experience of LP1, he had the crowd in the palm of his hands. if he had dropped the album that night as is, we are talking about Donda and these last 5 years differently. but no, something got in his head and he did too much and by LP2 the crowd started sitting down midway because he added so much unnecessary s*** to get to the highlights of Come to Life and dude being raised to the ceiling on No Child Left Behind. like we had to walk back into the stadium to see that is how messy the project got between to LPs and how much he lost the crowd and the point of the project. if he had kept it at 45-50 minutes + Come to Life, it’s considered a top Ye project

and that’s essentially been my biggest gripe with Ye since TLOP. it’s either too long and retooled to the point of becoming sloppy or too rushed where it could have been so much more than what we got in writing, sonics, refrains in the music that Kanye is known for, the beats actually making sense, fresh topics that relate to what is happening now in the world, and not corny forced meme bars here and there on serious songs. is what it is, this where we at with it. but someone will call me a dumbass for having a well thought out opinion and bump they heads to a nigga that has just lost his element of allure
