I agree. I don’t know if anyone is doing that itt as I just saw that specific post and wanted to add context to it so it doesn’t get lumped in with the Kanye stuff. That’s why I said “not to say it’s the same as the Kanye s***storm.” At least that’s where I stand on it.
I'm sorry that picture takes me out
stephen a smith is an idiot and im pretty sure doesnt take himself serious and ye post this black n white pic like he pac r sum
You aint bout to disrespect Stephen like this
bro don’t know how to use instagram and got mad at all jews again
can’t make this up
Nah people have been calling him out for both
Mans has said some wild stuff, and has never faced any pushback the way he did immediately after commenting about Jewish media.

I agree and it is obvious but now this take is starting to get redundant.
These companies and sites don't care about us outside of performative s***, of course they aint gonna care about the anti black stuff, I've seen plenty of people on multiple avenues online call out the contrast which is cool im not knockin you or anyone else for doing so but even with people calling ye out specifically about the anti blackness i still doubt these companies would care anyway and im not sure how to go about fixing that
Fam all im finna do is hit the unfollow button on insta. This s***s ridiculous whatever he does ill hear from here im done

I mean its obvious that the people in power will go harder for their own vs another group. There are no black people in that level of power so it's obvious they aren't gonna care about us. Kanye is right about one thing. At this point in time, we are still owned, but slowly black people are coming into power
close thread until end of November

I agree on this. The s*** that he’s been saying is foul but the whole slavery debacle never saw this kind of push back nor ties cut, people just called him out.
Not necessarily a case of whatboutism, just interesting to observe the reactions to things he’s said.

He’s a d*** head for sure and should be condemned but it is funny lol
He could say white people are the devil and earn woke points with the left crowd
Or can say slavery was a choice and still keep a black audience
🥴

I was a bit stumped by the reaction and the urgency by his affiliations during the slavery thing as it never went to this level.
Not saying, he doesn’t warrant it (anybody that says this kind of stuff needs to face repercussions) but why only now?

I think that his original statements left some breathing room for ambiguity I.e “He doesn’t mean actual slavery, he meant that choosing to be victimized and relying on politicians to save you is a choice” was the line I heard now
His comments about Jews were a bit more…uh..direct
Also I think there was some hesitancy for corps to get involved in what was seen as an internal black community issue “why are you getting involved in black folks business?”
S*** is what saddens me the most
Can’t describe how excited I was when he began using his platform to talk about his faith. I remember niggas calling it a phase and how insincere he was and I was hoping it wasn’t
This nigga did his lil Jesus s*** then proceeded to prove everyone right a year later
he’s moving exactly how most conservative christians do tbh, looks like it was sincere

Yeah, I'm not sold on what other people were trying to spin on that. I remember he asked the question how/why slavery was a thing for 400 odd years and there were so many people enslaved and not doing anything (it definitely wasn't a choice)
People died during that s***, jumping off ships committing suicide etc, in chains etc.
I just feel that these issues shouldn't be internally dealt with. If we see antisemitism, we need to call that s*** out (whoever we are), same as someone like Ye talking crazy about slavery where so many people died.
People need to call all this out.

It doesn’t seem like a fair comparison at all to me. The “slavery is a choice” comment had a degree of ambiguity and abstraction to it. The Jewish comments are just straight up “I hate the Jews, I hate the Jews today.”
So let me just get this straight
Kanye spews anti black s*** all night. Harasses the Floyd family. Posts pics of emmet till’s beaten body and compares himself to him just cause he lost contracts.
Instagram does nothing
Kanye then posts a text exchange where Kanye texts back something about getting Jewish business partners to look at contracts… and gets banned for that 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Why not the other stuff … this s*** gonna serve as confirmation bias to Kanye.
What’s frustrating about the whole thing is that instead of reacting with “you’re right we should get him out of here for anti black harmful rhetoric” most people just skip that and go to “nah Kanye was right about the Jews” and go right to showing support and giving a pass to the anti black s*** due to so much inherent confirmation bias towards Jewish conspiracy
Like bro should be taken off regardless but a lot of people are letting him slide, whether it’s Instagram ignoring it or people tolerating it in order to cheer on high profile anti semitic dog whistling

bruh
