The game undeniably suffers from bad design choices. If the choice is between player convenience and realism, the latter isn't worth it because it's still a video game. The player's immersion is inevitably going to be broken by something at some point, so why invest in keeping the illusion going at the expense of the player's experience?

I shouldn't have to sit through the animation every.single.damn time Arthur loots someone. Why are the weapons I just had equipped to Arthur on the horse that just ran off and not in my weapon wheel? RDR2 also does a poor job of explaining critical information to the player. I had a pdf of the game guide while playing, stuff like the wanted system/disguises was explained a lot better in there. Also the shooting was ass if you played on console without aim assist

Will always be one of the greatest achievements in gaming and showing what the medium is capable of. But the gameplay is so s*** in comparison to the rest of it. Frustrating because Rockstar were so close to perfection and they fumbled

The main voice actor must've been flabbergasted when he learned the game was likely going to be hundreds of hours long and he only had 5 pages of dialogue.
