I figure Cyber Punk is one of the main culprits for sure but that’s one game lol

Cyberpunk devs were straight up lying about content and mechanics not even a week before launch.

While I do agree it’s just one game, but it was a huge release during Covid that the industry was pushing hard for. No mans sky is another great example. The other user who responded to you also brings up a great point for these two games specifically. There was a ton promised that didn’t get delivered on until much later. For this game though, idc I’m excited. From the minimal released footage we’ve seen, I feel like it’s going to be great. My guess is story/quests will be the big gripe but also we haven’t seen like any of that so I could be dead wrong (and hoping I am).

I buy entirely too many games annually for me to justify an isolated release 6 years ago(Or whenever) dictating how I buy all of my games.

I’m well aware of releases that fit this criteria but the way that s*** gets regurgitated you would think every other purchase these guys make they get burned.

For every 1 disappointing game at launch I probably have 10-15+ i’m satisfied with. It’s just not a talking point for me or my knee jerk expectation for every game i’m interested in. That’s just being dramatic

Off the top of my head Cyberpunk is the obvious one, mafia remastered collection was a glitched out mess, the new mafia game recently too, GTA trilogy, jedi survivor had constant frame drops and crashes...they all got better after many updates but just cautious with this game potentially offering so much. Guess we'll see soon

High 70s low 80s my guess is still the story not being great but gameplay will carry.
