A lot of screens are super f***ing cheap these days. They might have gotten a deal on these big ones from a Chinese warehouse where they've sat for like 5+ years because it's a size not really used on anything any longer.

It's smaller and not touch screen but this phenomenon is the entire reason Miyoo Mini handheld gaming devices exist (the original, not the + models or the newer versions of the original. Those all exist because of the extreme unprecedented popularity of the original. It wasnt possible to meet the demand so they made a better and cheaper bigger version to mas produce, the v2.0 onward or whatever were sold as collector items due to rarity).
