really need to get back on these. i stopped playing 4 to play ishin, but then my ssd died and i didn't have enough space to reinstall it and it took a long time for samsung to send a replacement. might just restart 4 and try to at least get to like a dragon before 8 comes out
Bruh, please tell me that Like A Dragon Gaiden news isn't true??
It being digital only or somethin else?
Yes the Digital only s***.
Doesn’t look like its getting a western physical release. Not sure what compels them do s*** like this, if anything you can get a physical through a site like playasia, downside is that last time I did this I had to wait an extra 3 weeks past day 1 release date to actually get a copy. Also not all JP physicals come with eng subs so you gonna need to check for that too

I love buying from Play Asia tbh. I did see that when I read the news but even still wtf? I thought we were trying to grow the brand. Hope they aren't bullshitting on the quality of the game too.

Figured that's what you were talking about. Yeah, it definitely does suck. The RGG physicals are always really cool too. Assuming they're just going digital only since it's a smaller game and prob don't expect the game to generate a ton of revenue. Any sort of smaller budget game that I can get a physical copy of, I try my best to do so. Hope it doesn't get to the point where physicals get phased out.

I doubt physicals would ever get phased out with how big that market still is in japan. That being said, westerns might get short end of the stick sometimes for the things you just mentioned. Thankfully we have sites like playasia to work around this bs tho

True.
They a make a steelbook for everything but Kyruu's return as protagonist is where they draw the line. Yeah, you're right they should have left 6 alone...

The art is so hard too. Would love a steelbook of this

What really confuses me about this too, is that they had physicals for Ishin, which is just a remake-ish of a spinoff. Haven't looked at the sales numbers for that, but I'd be really surprised if it sells more than Gaiden.

How well did Ishin sell?
Dude Idk how but I have doubles of all the steel books for no reason. I don't even f***ing steel books like that
I need to stop bullshitting and add 0's business edition to my collection tbh

Not seeing any data that has all platforms or countries for it, but seeing it sold like 85k~ in Japan as of March. I'm sure there's more in the west, especially with the games being on Steam.
I think the games just like, came with steelbooks, right? Pretty sure Kiwami 1 and 2 had steelbooks on launch at no extra cost. Could've just been pre-order bonuses, but yeah, I also have a few of em without even trying lol. Lost Judgment's is definitely my favorite
is this not 8
I think it will be. Peep the sign for infinity.
