Been thinking about the inevitable Yakuza 8 and what I’d hope it’d be (spoilers for endgame)

I doubt Yakuza 8 is gonna be a turn based rpg again, but i would love for them to have a middle ground a la modern FF and Xenoblade. It works thematically too.

When Ichi finally takes on Masato, he changes back to his freelancer class from the beginning of the game. He doesnt have any fancy moves like the other jobs, he just simply fights his brother

Its also the only QTE event in the game, showing how he’s finally coming back into reality.

This is why a real time action rpg system would be greatly beneficial. Retains the way to combat exemplifies Ichi’s personality while also retaining his close circle of friends and showing his maturation

What is the timing supposed to be on the quick promps

Like on the bat buster move where you hit triangle, are you supposed to wait for the circle to be over the triangle prompt or like just smash that s*** off rip

I usually hit it right after it closes in on the triangle.

They are f***ing awesome. At least the ones ive played.

Start with yakuza 0, its by far the best one and the start of the wholw story.

Yakuza kiwami 2 is my next favorite.

Both are 9/10 easily.

Yakuza 7 is alright. Its enjoyable but im not loving it nearly as much

yo i cannot wait until i beat Cyberpunk and Dragon Quest 11 so i can play some more Yakuza. i’ll def finish up Yakuza 0 and then give Kiwami a shot, but what i’m really looking forward to is getting to replay Like a Dragon
