all the characters are soooo likeable so far, i love it

this game is incredibly fun so far, pretty much exceeding my expectations in every way. i’m on chapter 4 now and i haven’t done any of the usual mini games around the city or side missions, been stuck to the main game and i don’t even mind it.

I was the biggest skeptic cuz of the turn-based combat, but I just hit chapter 4 too and I’m really enjoying it

it's kinda weird playing a yakuza game with the jrpg overlay. like not even in a bad way, it's just i need to remind myself sometimes it's not a regular one

even earlier i went running around the city and got destroyed by some way too strong enemies so made a mental note not to get too far off track for a bit

the jrpg bits are so well done though. like you can tell a LOT of love went into the jrpg homages: the party member music, the pokemon parody etc. just beautiful honestly

the amount of cutscenes and tutorials the first few hours tho

I hate turn-based combat and I really like this. Give it a shot if you see it on sale. I got it for free, but I wouldn’t have regretted paying for it at all so far.

i’m in the same boat, all i’ve got for my Series S is Yakuza and COD so far cuz i’m not rly interested in AC or Watch Dogs

The combat mechanics in this still retains some elements to retain the brawler feel, definitely makes the combat fun and fit the series

Does Nanba somehow manage to always get the last attack on EVERY fight for anyone else or is it just me?

Bought this over the weekend and I'm loving it. So happy to finally be out of that beginning section tho. It was pretty much three chapters of long cutscenes and very little gameplay.
