Whats the point of releasing a console weaker than the Xbox One X. It's essentially a next gen console that's weaker than a current gen mid cycle console.

    This a 4 teraflop console
While the Xbox One X is a 6 teraflop console and the Series X is a 12 teraflop console.

Because people like me don't care about that nerd s*** we just want to play games and chill with our bros

Their is still an audience for it is what I’m saying so it will succeed in that audience, just how the xbox one x sold at a faster rate than any other xbox ppl want that high end bleeding edge s***.

Oh yeah no doubt there’s an audience.

But with the right moves, Microsoft could do Wii numbers. If they do that, the Series x and the Ps5 will look like flops.

Usable space is probably 377GB if we go by what an Xbox One with a 500GB HDD has.

SSDs will reduce file size but not by much. Maybe 20%. I believe Spiderman PS4 was abnormally bloated due to reused assets and even that only used ~ 10 GB extra out if I think 50?.

500 GB SSD will still only get you like 4 games max next gen

My bad replied to wrong comment but right user

Where did you get the information that it was only 10gb’s?

plus we don’t know how much compression kraken(ps5) or the Xbox Velocity Architecture will do to the files could be even smaller

I feel like MS has killed their chance of series X succeeding. That price point is just too tasty. Imagine if you only play cod, fifa etc. Why wouldn’t you get the series S? They’ve basically killed the series X before it even launched. I wonder if this was the plan from the beginning.

Sony got a tough time ahead IMO.

ngl, i'm copping the PS5 at launch, but I'm thinking of copping the Series S based on the price point sometime next year. I'l use it as a supplemental console for Game Pass and older 360 games. That price point is really good

This $300 Series S is just gonna be the original Xbox One all over again. Underpowered compared to it's competition and it's own brand.

What competition does the $300 system have?

How is it underpowered compared to its own brand when its stronger than the 1x and has the price point to be realistically appeasing to those that can't dish out $500 during a pandemic?

At least use a slither of logic before posting out of your ass

500 gigs is not enough space especially with games getting bigger and bigger.

most games don't have to get that big though, certain developers are running wild with their optimization tbh don't watch that tho

when your textures are 3x the file size as other games but they look the exact same in 2D quality comparisons then some1 messed up
