i dont think many people seem to understand that Sony and Microsoft are going in completely different directions business wise

Sony does not care about boosting old games really they have said themselves they believe in generations and they said according to their data (could be bs but its what they said) that backwards compatibility for older generation titles is one of the most requested features but that it doesnt end up actually being used as much as people seem to want it

Sony's focus is on making large budget narrative driven experiences right now

Microsoft has better backwards compatibility and features that come with that yes but they have a dedicated team because they are a much larger company than Sony and because they decided to focus on boosting old games

and idk if you know this but the games arent upscaled they are only enhanced framerates. 2-3 out of the 5 games still looks really bad cuz it has original Xbox One resolution which is worse than a base ps4

TLDR: The only reason Microsoft is boosting old games is for gamepass they just want you to subscribe to their service vs Sony who wants you to pay $70 for their latest big budget game. Completely different businesses and goals

Also these are Xbox One games Sony literally boosted Days Gone ps4 from a choppy maybe sub 1080p30 to Native 4k 60. The cool part is the fact that the games think they are still running at 30 for xbox

i just dont see any reason to buy a series x sony won waiting for infinite to come out to pull the trigger but my xbox one is starting to crash

Yea the release was meh with the games. I got a PS5 early because I didn’t have the PS4 so I can play through their exclusives.

Currently playing GOW.

And for Xbox a lot of the exclusives I’m looking forward to not coming out til at the earliest next year (I think that’s when Halo is coming?) and the rest later.
