Doom Eternal is not how I thought it'd be... This constant ammo scarcity is pretty grating.

I've read it takes some time to get into so I'll see how much I can take before that.

Edit: Game isn’t bad. I can’t play it for long periods of time though. Not fun enough for that.

Facts I don't like how the game forces you to play the way they want. Like I don't wanna do the glory kills all the time.
Furthermore, the "level design" is just paths of platforming leading to arenas where the monsters just spawn in.

That's why classic Doom is still the best. Monsters are already on the map most of the time and traps open doors to make them fight you, plus beating the short maps is fun af

Yea, that's how I thought it'd be like the other doom. Eternal isn't bad but I liked the satisfaction, feel, and play of the previous better.

Have you played classic Doom and Doom II ? I started playing them 1-2 years ago and I got addicted to them and those community levels

i like Doom Eternal a lot; glad to hear Doom 2016 isn’t more of the same tho, the Eternal gameplay formula def gets a bit tired by the end of the game if you’re playing on hard/dying a lot.

Never playing this s*** with my wife again. We were hooked, and it was fun for the most part but stressful as f***. We just tried again recently for that DLC and I was like "man f*** this" and bought it on the Switch so she can play on that and I just play s*** on my XBox.
