I don’t believe your premise, but let’s say yes every console has been called Xbox so far and 360 was just a version of like the one was a new version of it. If people were confused by those than why would they be confused this time. It’s called series X because it’s the more powerful version. They will probably release a Xbox series s as the weaker version.

Saw an old ODST themed live action promo for Halo 3 and it made think, no other game had a better rollout than Halo 3
