I haven't played dishonored 1, 2 or deathloop fully like I have started all of them up and played a little. Are they known for environments with a lot in them? I feel like Arkane went too out of their wheelhouse with the large open areas to this degree

yep with dishonored they are i’m not sure about deathloop game was too mid when i tried playing

just a warning there’s like nothing in the open world maybe like 5 houses but they’re all the same

it’s really barebones

game runs so bad too i was dropping frames so low on xbox

so many glitches

i will say i had fun glitching out of the map and skipping areas during missions

thats the crazy part deathloop launch people had it as game of the year and great but when I dabbled it personally didn't feel great for me. First person stealth difficult for me to like though . Grew up on third person stealth

if it has the same reused assets everywhere, then why does it take like 95 GB on xbox?

plus the game looks terrible no reason it should be 95 gigs

and yea just had to confirm it to myself, consoles dont make these firms money lol, so i really dont understand why ppl get hung up on that aspect. msft is worried about creating great games that they can sell to EVERYONE, the money is in the games (they're also slacking majorly here lol) but imo that is where the concern should lay, NOT within the lack of console sales.

For sure but you at least hoped in the backend they cared about making great first party games, the statements from Phil seem so defeatist Idk it’s wild to see one of the big 3 wanna revert into being a roku stick and not care about the quality of the games output with their name attached to it when everyone around them knows the reason why Sony is “winning” is because they are releasing banger after banger and the reason why Microsoft is losing or in 3rd place as Phil said is because of the massive void in between releases and even when they release they are bad games and the brand is suffering because of the exact thing that they seem to be diving head first into which is focusing on making the Xbox the everything everywhere family box when the moment they were at their peak in the 360 era it was all about the games. It’s like they dug themselves this hole during the Xbox one era that they stubbornly don’t wanna get out of because I really do think it’s as simple as building your brand back up thru amazing first party titles

well you're right but that's what he said. he knows making great games is what they need to do. he simply is recognizing that the literal console war is a stupid argument debate and metric, because the consoles dont drive profits the games do. he's just acknowledging reality is all, microsoft doesnt give a f*** if they sell the least consoles lol, they just want to build up their quality game library so that they dont even need to be in the hardware game anymore (sad in itself and i doubt theyll spin off the xbox anytime soon)

True but it still would be third. That’s why i think he’s saying focusing on making gains in its own way is more impactful . I didn’t take his quote as him saying “fuck making good games” but realistically just making good games is not enough
