Is Project Mara actually legit or what is it just an engine showcase?

Yep, they announced it as another new game that Ninja Theory is working on.

We haven’t gotten updates on it since it got announced so who knows really what’s the current status of that project (there’s been zero rumours regarding it as far as I know).

I sure hope it didn’t get cancelled cus Xbox having two 1st-party horror games (Hideo Kojima’s OD) would be hype af.

Game length only matters so much but 8 hours for Hellblade 2 seems crazy . Will all come down to how time is used

How much of those 8 hours will be spent just walking (or slightly running)
But nah I trust Ninja Theory to dish out a compact and compelling experience.

And I also hope the short length of HB2 means they have enough resources to work on Project: Mara so they could get that out the door asap (2025 release).

Nah if this is an super on rails sony formula game and its not for me I will be honest either way no matter what company it comes from. It is cool they are attempting it I guess to feed a base that misses some of that on the Sony side. Project Mara and its ability to be anything in regards to mental health interest me personally more . As does OD.
