I feel like you’re valid w this but to an extent probably understating the degree to which the writing room was probably actually planning stuff out for each episode. I mean, I’m sure a lot of it was like let’s throw stuff at the wall and see if it sticks. But I think there is also a ton of it that’s like, Very deliberate with the way that they tie things together?

for anyone unfamiliar The creator of this show wrote the screenplay for the new Kendrick Lamar, Trey Parker, Matt Stone movie. It’s a really f***ed up show in the sense that it’s pretty problematic, and has some stuff that’s like "oh God" But I think it’s really funny. I’m interested to see what people who have different opinions But have actually watched the entire series or at least more than two episodes have to say. @insertcoolnamehere have you watched?

Easily one of the best shows of the century. Still rewatch it from start to finish every couple years

It is deliberate for sure. It's deceptively well written. There are quite a lot of moments where it's whole "mirror-holding" approach makes a genuinely great point. The build ups in nearly every episode have great to incredible pay-offs

this show is genuinely a masterpiece.

very well put, especially the idea that the payoffs are very real (and arguably well done). I’ve seen a***ogies made saying they shoot you out one way and then bring you back without remembering exactly where you came from but then you remember and it’s like oh fritata; the message was right in front of me all along type moment lol
