At first I thought it was just a loop or some "visuals" attached to a song or some s*** but now it's like....it's actual music videos that are just said are "visualizers" now.

it started as just a loop of some random stuff that might have to do with the song or might not, just to have on in the background, but sometimes, artists add random footage they had no other reason to post & upload it as that

Visualizers are just trippy lights and patterns a computer program produces which reacts to the music you're playing. My iTunes had one 20 years ago. A music video is a music video.

It is harder to tell the difference nowadays, it usually is a loop but sometimes it's a performance shot like this, this one definitely has more of music video feel to it though it says visualizer

with versus featuring sorta makes sense to me though. (like back in the days when you had albums that had certain artists that were always on it like raekwon/ghostface albums for example)
