Coming from the EU, where politicians sometimes resign because of much smaller things that aren't even their direct fault, but feel like they're morally obliged to resign (case in point - Slovenian head of the Department of Justice that resigned a few weeks ago cause a murder was committed that was somewhat preventable), this is incredible to me (not saying EU politicians are any more or less moral, but it feels like the tolerance for such infractions is much lower in the EU).
