This whole unanimous/non-unanimous thing is dumb as hell anyway. Fake stigma created by baseball writers and none of it makes any sense.

Unless the baseball hall of fame plans to introduce tiers or levels of some sort, there should be no difference between a unanimous hall of famer and someone who got in by the skin of their teeth on their 10th year. As it stands right now, the hall of fame is just the hall of fame. Everyone is elected to the same one no matter what.

Baseball writers are elitists and this method of electing players to the HOF is dumb as hell in the first place

No one saying he is but he's certainly a HOF player.

He didn't have any negative marks on his career that spanned 20 years during a era where players were taking PEDs.

I really don't care about the unanimous s*** either but if players need to have a sparkling clean career to get 100%, it's Jeter.

The thing is the percentage has a lot to do with how well did the player treat the media.

Absolutely agree with your second point. Baseball writers consider themselves to be the elite of the elite in the baseball world and they use their vote as a weapon against any player who didn't treat them as royalty
